Kia ora folks! Now we finally have some spare time on our hands... must be time for a loooooong over due update (which you may have already seen our website). We've decided to retire Skinny Love Weddings, effective already.
Our domain has now expired so the website is down and email is no longer working. If you worked with us or had a wedding with us in the past, you can still get hold of us anytime at [email protected], but we will not be taking anymore bookings.
Why have we retired the business? Mainly, we've just become too busy to juggle it all anymore. This whole time we've held down other jobs, expanded families, moved to new towns, started other ventures ...and then Covid, that adds a real complex layer onto what we do, so it's just the right time. We're sorry if this is dissapointing for some people but it is the right move for us - there are quite a few pop-up style wedding options nowadays so a quick google should point you in the direction of this style of wedding π
The last 7+ years have been the absolute best time and we're so happy to have reached our goal of 250 weddings, what an amazing ride! We're super grateful to each and every one of our couples, and all the amazing people we've met and worked with over the years. We'll really miss the fun and love vibes, but will be nice having weekends back for sure.
Thank you so much for supporting us and our unique concept, we're really proud of our achievements in making getting married more affordable.
Here's one of our lucky last couples and their ADORABLE best dog, shot by Sarah Weber Photography (who you should totally book for your nuptials!)
Much much love,
Jilly, Gabi & Vivre
P.S. Follow one of Gabi's new ventures at Gathered Co. - an awesome retail collab based in Whitianga, but also online π
