✨ A Little Update From Me… and a Big Thank You to You! ✨
Hey everyone!
I just wanted to take a moment to say a HUGE thank you for all your support. Not only for our amazing vendors and small businesses who pour their heart into creating beautiful food and artwork for the Wellington community, but also for me and Foxtail Events. Your encouragement and enthusiasm are what keep us going and allow us to bring incredible events to our cool little capital. 💛
Some of you may not realise this, but Foxtail Events is a one woman show!
From event manager to creative director, admin to marketing, networking to problem solving, I’m behind the whole shebang. Yes… I’m busy. Yes… it’s a lot for one person. But I absolutely love what I do, and I do it all for you.
My passion has always been about community - bringing people together, celebrating creativity, and creating unforgettable experiences for you all to enjoy. I’m lucky to have amazing friends, contractors, volunteers, and casual staff who help me from time to time, but the majority of the operation is run by yours truly.
And as we head into our busiest season (events every weekend from now until Christmas! 😅), plus planning well into mid next year, things are getting FULL on behind the scenes. This means responses to messages might not always be instant, but please know: I will always get back to you. I just ask for a little patience and understanding as I juggle everything that goes into making each event magical.
And trust me… there’s A LOT that goes into it!
From booking venues and liaising with councils and businesses, to writing H&S plans, run sheets, organising performers, opening and closing applications, marketing, compliance, insurance, signage, kids’ activities, waste management, emails, calls, meetings, posters, site plans - and that’s only scratching the surface. 😅
Plus, Foxtail Events isn’t just markets!
We run art and craft markets, food truck events, music events, council community activations, play events, themed events, lighting events, and even a pop-up artist store. On top of that, I also contract my services out to other organisations who need help bringing their visions to life.
All of it is done with one goal in mind: making Wellington the coolest little capital it can be. 💫
So if you don’t hear from me straight away, please know I’m not ignoring you, I’m just busy chipping away behind the scenes, making sure every event is safe, successful, and something special for you and your whānau.
Thank you all, truly, for being part of this journey. I appreciate every single one of you, and I can’t wait to bring you some fantastic events to close out 2025 and so many more in 2026!
Cheers,
Sharon
