I think it's the familiarity of the jutting landscape from the lake edge that is in constant change through the seasons' light and weather, but still remains the same.

There's a moment, usually about halfway through planning, when it all feels like too much. I call it the wee freak-out.

It arrives quietly. You're twelve thousand kilometres away, you can't picture the room, and suddenly every decision feels enormous.
I've seen it enough times that I think about it before it happens with my clients.
When it comes, I slow everything down. I take the next decision with you, only that one, and I hold the rest.

I love the unsexy part of planning a destination wedding, the part that is 95% of what makes a beautiful wedding happen. It doesn't look appealing on a Pinterest board or in a reel, so it rarely makes an appearance. But without it, you'd have a messy experience.

The couple who tells me their real budget on day one, are the ones I can look after best. I know that sounds back to front. But a number I can see is one I can work with, work around and stretch towards what matters most to you. The vague ones, the figures we never quite say out loud, those are where the disappointment hides. I'd rather be honest early and spare you the hard conversations later.

187 weddings in 15 years, that's something I'm very proud of and extremely grateful to have had the trust of wonderful couples. I admit, I don't remember some, cried at most ceremonies and always tasted the cake if there was one!!
