Focus on what is around you – your community, your creativity, your originality, your experiences. Everything that is real! The fakery of popular culture would have you small, consuming and following, mining the resource of your attention.

Spring Fling was such a vibe ✨️

The sound was beautifully crisp thanks to local Lala legend Fred - humbling to see just how much work goes into getting such clear, quality sound. 🎵

Decor was on point! Thanks to Chelsea and Georgia for all of the help with this 🙏 Latenight artwork painting, setting up the space with decor, holding the door, and emotional support too! Couldn't have done it without you two 💚

Huge shoutout to C:SHE for rocking the decks so hard! Amazing to hear such a talented woman slaying so good, and amazing to make new friends too 💛

The crew at Lalaland were absolutely amazing, kind, super supportive - so much appreciation for the Lala team 🙏

Can't wait to bring it bigger and better for round two of Spring Fling next season!

Kicking off our night at Spring Fling is the lovely KAURI. She’s a natural at this. Her nommies, b***y-bopping sets always get the feeties stomping. Get in early and let the night of magical earhole journeys begin.

Fresh from the house-party scene, it’s fair to say that KAURI and noise control share differing philosophies 👀😂

Originally hailing from her mother’s womb, KAURI has called the dancefloors of Aotearoa her home for many years now. Music connoisseurs and party goers alike often refer to her DJ sets as “nommies”, “great for b***y-bopping” and “fit for feetie-stomping”.

If you asked KAURI who her role models in the music industry are, she would list that person who first discovered dragging a chair across a tile floor to get that crisp signatory “BRRRRR” DnB sound.

KAURI doesn’t pigeonhole herself to just one style of music - behind the decks she mixes high-vibe bass & tech house, dubstep and drum and bass that gets the b***y shaking and arms carving. Behind the DAW she produces jump-up rollers imbued with a dark feminine energy that gets you feeling down and dirty.

One thing is certain about KAURI’s mixes, every time she hits the decks you can guarantee she’s about to take your earholes on a magical journey of platypusbears, polardolphins and bumblefairies. 🌈🐝🦩

We searched high and low throughout the South for a DJ that can bring thicc bass, funky beats and high-vibes to our carefully curated dancefloor.

Once we found DJ C:She, we knew she was the one straight away.

She’s an OG. She’s pumped to bring it for us. We’re pumped to have her on board.

C:She’s Biography:

C:She burst onto the scene in 2000’s Manchester, after a heated debate at a late night party over why most DJs were male.

This defiant chicky had to show the world that ladies can rock the decks too... With a pair of Technics 1210’s, C:She was ready to prove to the world what an insatiable passion for dirty basslines and pumping beats can do!

Her signature sound of B***y Bouncin’ Bass Funk was soon born. A meaty, fun blend of heavy breaks, electro, grooving vocals and dnb.

A regular in the New Zealand festival scene, she appears frequently at Rhythm and Alps, Splore, Sundaise and more. In her hometown of Wanaka, she has supported big name artists such as Krafty Kuts, Chali 2na, K+Lab and Slynk. C:She also runs the hugely successful night The Strawberry Jam here in Wanaka at Water Bar.

C:She is always on form to rock the house… come get down and dirty to some good old block rockin’ beats. See you on the dancefloor!
