Clifton Rugby & Sports Club is aware of an incident that occurred following Saturday’s match involving a small number of individuals.

As a club, we do not condone violence, misconduct, or behaviour that brings our game into disrepute. Clifton Rugby & Sports Club has a zero-tolerance approach to such conduct and remains committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and family-friendly environment for all players, supporters, volunteers, and officials.

We acknowledge the concerns this incident has caused and apologise to those affected, as well as to the wider rugby community. The matter is now being addressed through the appropriate rugby disciplinary processes, and we will continue to work proactively to ensure incidents of this nature do not occur in the future.

While the matter remains subject to the appropriate disciplinary process, we wish to reiterate our commitment to the values of respect, sportsmanship, and positive sideline behaviour that our club expects from everyone involved with Clifton Rugby & Sports Club.

This Saturday we come together to celebrate the incredible women and families who are the heart of Clifton Rugby Club.
