Beautiful fairways roll out before you with the boom of surf and deep hues of the sea at your shoulder. Modelled on traditional Scottish seaside courses, the views here are breathtaking from every hole. The other courses in the district are equally picturesque and include Helensville, Huapai and Southhead overlooking the stunning Kaipara Harbour.

🍊 Lodge Kitchen Adventures - Persimmon edition!

These underated antioxidant, vitamin rich, juicy balls of goodness are in season too! Many of the international visitors to our cottages have not tried persimmons before and we love introducing them!

We also use them in our crumbles for functions, as a fresh element on cheeseboards and add generous chunks into our housemade chutneys 🍊

This is our aptly coloured Pinot Noir cottage 🍇🍷

It's warm, cosy and beautifully furnished with the rustic charm our cottages are known for. Snuggle up on the couch with a good book, sit and watch the flames in the fireplace or enjoy your morning coffee in the courtyard with views of vines and trees, the sound of the birds chirping.

Big news from the not-so-glamorous side of cottage life…

The cottages are getting new steps 👏

Because while we love a rustic, vineyard-tucked-away vibe, we don’t love guests doing an unexpected interpretive dance on the way to the door.

New steps = safer arrivals, smoother suitcase drags, and one less thing for your Pinot-holding hand to worry about 🍷

Glow-ups come in many forms — sometimes it’s linen, sometimes it’s cedar hot tubs… and sometimes it’s just really solid steps.

Stay tuned for the grand unveiling. Riveting stuff.
