🫜 Something for the garden? we stock a range of gardening tools, foliar and soil feed , moon calendars and even have a gardening workshop coming up!
🍝 Something for the chef? We have a range of kitchen utensils, bread making tools, pasta equipment and cook books
☕️ Something for the coffee lover? We have locally made keep cups, bags of Rocket coffee beans or plunger
🍽️ Something for the foodie? Check out our local produce such as Coromandel Chocokate, Opito Bay salt, housemade pantry items such as our chilli sauce, chutneys and pickles. Make up your own hamper!

🕰️ Or what about your time? Join him on a cooking or gardening workshop or bring him along for lunch or dinner and make some

Just coming to the close of our busy Saturday in the Bistro. This is the first one in ages that me and Brad have both worked together on a full day/ night service as we tend to tag team.
Next week marks our 15 year anniversary of running this place so it”s good to know we both still “ got it” 🤣 Although definitely feeling it more these days! We both doing it all over again tomorrow so stop by if you want to see the OG team in action!

Our beautiful Steffie is heading off to have her baby soon so we are once again on the hunt for a hospo superstar with experience of delivering incredible experiences! This is not your average job and requires someone who can criss cross across our departments - from helping to clean our charming cottages , welcoming guests, waiting tables in our Bistro, learning to cash up, making coffee , being a witness for an elopement or assisting in a workshop or a wedding. This will be someone local who enjoys variety and who brings their hospo experience, maturity and excellent customer service values to our business. Part time role approx 15 hours per week, may include weekends and evenings with the potential until to increase hours as we head into Summer. I absolutely LOVE this post and image taken for an elopement last year when our road was closed for major roadworks for several weeks . It was an extremely challenging time for our business, our staff, our suppliers, our customers and the hard working road team. But everyone pulled together, navigated those challenges and made the best out of the situation.
And surely this is what marriage and life is all about ❤️ The picture perfect waterfall image would have come after this but it was the getting there , the journey that made it all the more Memorable !

More good news giving us the warm & fuzzies! We have once again been recognised in cuisinemagazine Good Food Awards. ❤️
After 15 years of doing what we do, it means a lot to know that The Falls Retreat team are continuing to making a contribution to the New Zealand restaurant landscape. With the Michelin Awards recently recognising some of the big players in the big cities, we love that some of the smaller establishments and rural locations are getting a nod. Thank you to all that visit us and our incredible local suppliers that make our dishes taste better!
We are open tomorrow and Sunday for you to taste for yourselves…… remember this is not fine dining. It’s a a small casual alacarte
