What a joyful final performance in Aotearoa before I head off for some adventures abroad! 💫🎶🦋

This Little Raconteur is excited to be hosting some interactive, musical story times at the Waihi Art and Street Festival / Arts In Town next week!! 😍 Come and join the fun!!

What's coming up on the 11th April? Arts in Town!

Lots of entertainment, art and craft workshops, demonstrations and stalls at Waihī Memorial Hall. Miss Amelia will be next door at Barden and Co. Follow this page to see the timetable nearer the time.

I sat down to pen a little Christmas song for the kids, and the nostalgia of summer as a child inspired this to flow out! 🌿🌞
When the Tui is singing
for the Harekeke in bloom
When I leave my feet bare
instead of lacing up shoes

I know it's summertime
In Aotearoa

When the coast is covered
in pōhutukawa red
And the sun keeps shining
Even after mum's tucked me into bed

When the hokeypokey melts
all down the cone in my hand
When dad grabs a spade and announces
its time to dig the biggest hole in the sand

When nannas teddies are all dressed
in santa hats and tinsel
When my sisters put on frilly togs
to dance in the sprinkler
When there's hammocks and baking and garden set up tents
When there's crafting and laughing and jumping on everyone's beds
When there's long hot days of time spent together - I could stay here forever

Beautiful Wendy! This Little Raconteur worked behind the scenes supporting our concerts with crafting, sewing, op shop hunting, performance assistance, set up & pack down and of course, coaxing Dragon when he was shy with love boosts only a mumma can give!
