Introducing Mr and Mrs Lomas!

Gayle and Kyle were married (finally!) last Saturday 15 January 2022 at beautiful Bridgewater Country Estate wedding venue in Helensville, Auckland. We say ‘finally’ as their wedding date had been moved three times due to Covid.

We have known Gayle for a number of years, Phil used to work with Gayle’s brother Drew in Rotorua and Drew was Phil’s best man at our wedding almost 15 years ago. So when Gayle asked if we would shoot her wedding we said sure thing.

Gayle and Kyle met when they used to work together and for a brief time Gayle was Kyle’s boss. Kyle then proposed on Waiheke Island, after seven years of being together.

Gayle and Kyle both looked amazing and both bride and groom were pretty chilled out, and well planned, so that the whole day went perfectly. They coordinated the bridal party in green, black and white and throughout which matched perfectly with the venues beautiful setting. The sneaker option for the bride and bridesmaids was also perfect for getting around the grounds.

Gayle and Kyle opted to do a first look before their ceremony and then opted to do some photos before the ceremony, so they had loads of time after the ceremony and during their reception to party with their guests.

Gayle walked down the aisle with her Dad to Everlong by Foo Fighters.

Celebrant Nate made the ceremony very enjoyable and went on to MC the reception and many jokes were made among the guests throughout the day in particular about the best man forgetting the rings at the ceremony.

Many hilarious speeches were made during the reception and Gayle’s Uncle and Dad entertained everyone with a song written for Gayle and Kyle.

All the best Kyle and Gayle! We are glad to see you both sooooo happy together. May the rest of your lives together be filled with laughter and love.

WEDDING 💕

Wedding season has begun at Khaos.

We were so excited to deliver this beautiful cake last Sunday.

Not only did the cake look stunning but the venue was breath taking.
Beautiful clear blue sky and all of the guests looked absolutely gorgeous!

CAKE DETAILS:

8 inch base and 6 inch top
This cake feeds approx 32 people

Bottom tier:
vanilla bean cake filled with vanilla buttercream and passionfruit curd

Top tier:
Chocolate cake filled with vanilla buttercream and salted caramel
