Ever since watching his flatmate mix Renegade Hardware EP’s in the late 90s on wonky belt-drive turntables, Gwarden has been transfixed by the possibilities of the genre. Whether dark, atmospheric and twisted or soaring, sexy and soulful, a Gwarden set utilises the entire palette of sounds and feelings to make even the most hardened raver shake their b***y.

Where’d you get your DJ name? “It’s the name of my first World of Warcraft toon - my middle name is Ward and the character was a druid, a Warden of the forest. You could say I have an affinity with the jungle🌴”

Where’d you get your DJ name? “Started off as a nickname round Oxford from a friend, twas lil fulla, then it kind of stuck and became a thing to a few of the lads… sooo one day it came to me, my dj name is Fulla”

This was a special one. 25+ years after I first put needle to wax on a Metalheadz plate, I got the chance to open for the pioneer, the visionary, the enigma himself, Sir Goldie. Getting to watch him up close, seeing the passion ooze from every pore, even after all this time...this music we love gets inside you and never lets go.

Thank you to everyone who came along, the vibe was incredible, as far from a disposable gig as you can get, we'll remember this one always.
