The Taniwha Off-road Trail Run/Walk/MTB There's something for every age, ability, and fitness level.

This event celebrates the hard work of the Waikato River Trails Trust over the past 13 years in developing 100km of top quality trails - most of it on previously inaccessible land along the mighty Waikato River. The trails wind their way through all the faces of New Zealand’s natural beauty - native bush, exotic forest, historic landmarks, geological formations, open reserves, boardwalks over wetl

ands, and stunning single track - taking in expansive lake and river views throughout. Come and join us on Saturday 12th November to take on as much of the stunning Waikato River Trails as you want - on foot, on two wheels, as an individual, or as a team! Event Options;
Mountain Bike - 16km / 22km / 44km
Trail Run - 7km / 16km / 21.1km / 44km
Trail Walk - 7km / 16km / 21.1km

🚨 🚨 WAIPAPA ROAD UPDATE

The Waipapa Road will be open on Saturday 23rd May for event buses and participants travelling by car.

🚨 IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATE 🚨

As many of you know, we previously had to make course changes to the Marathon and 43km MTB events due to the closure of Waipapa Road following earlier weather damage.

Good news — the road repairs have now been completed ahead of schedule, which means we can return to the ORIGINAL COURSE for both affected distances 🙌

Please take note of the updated start times below 👇

🚵 43km MTB - 7:45am
🏃 Duathlon - 7:45am
🏃 Marathon - 7:55am
📍 Starting from Waipapa Dam

🏃 22km - 10:00am (no longer 10:30am)

🚌 UPDATED BUS TIMES
🕡 6:45am — MTB / Duathlon
🕕 6:50am — Marathon
🕣 8:45am — 22km
