When we shared this amazing photograph by Gilmour Studios (formerly Ruth Gilmour photographer) a few months ago it became apparent every quickly that it was a fav of many. My goal is always to make every bouquet unique to the bride, Alice from The Native Dairy Farmer absolutely loves natives and wanted her bouquet to be a mix of florals and natives.
So happy with how her pressed bouquet preservation has turned out and I have a feeling from the messages she is pretty happy to 🤭🧡

When the photos come in and Im just so darn grateful to be able to work with such talented photographers 🥹👌🏼

When I arrive on site to set up I usually cross paths with the photographers and videographers, sometimes ones I have met at other weddings and sometimes it's the first meet. You get a vibe straight away from their presence on what sort of work you will see and if you need to snap heaps of photos your end or just let the magic happen and wait patiently for the couple to send you the goodies. These guys created such an enthusiastic and relaxed vibe, everyone was smiling and you knew the couple were in amazing hands! I was so excited to see what they captured and that intuition was right once again, pure gold! Such a great day and amazing family and other vendors to work with.

Another great floral weekend 🧡
Saturday Wedding expo in Hamilton which was great having a chance to meet so many couples in the planning stages for their weddings along with a chance to connect with other vendors which is always a treat (Ignore the hideous back wall I was expecting exposed brick 🧱🤦🏼‍♀️) luckily the flowers and preservation florals still looked amazing 😅
A day in heels was a change from the gumboots in the field and slippers in the studio so the sneaky wine at end of the day went down a treat 👌🏼💚

Another busy day today with our Dahlia Workshop. Always so good having chats with others who want to grow flowers and experience the joy they bring. 👌🏼💚 Excited to see how all our guests get on with their little home patches this summer.

Back into the studio tomorrow to get up to date with our quotes and lock in some more weddings for the up and coming season 🤍

Now time to enjoy my beautiful kids and get some much needed downtime 😘

So many beautiful everyday bouquets left the studio last week. Thanks to all our amazing customers for choosing Sylvia's Summer 🩷 you certainly had me on my toes with deliveries which was a nice break between the Dahlia dividing and dirty hands👌🏼
We had two more bridal preservations picked up over the weekend, always so nice catching up with the couples when they come to collect 💚 hearing about the wedding day and honeymoon.
Saturday was a beautiful morning starting with a collab Gilmore Manor, The Good Celebrant,Tuhi Photography so excited for what's unfolding here plus it's always so great catching up with other vendors, it's the closest I get to work colleagues 😅
Another busy week ahead in the field and studio this week plus the wedding expo The Waikato Wedding Affair Saturday and dahlia workshop Sunday. Looking forward to many great floral centred chats and meeting lots of new faces 💛

Absolutely obsessed with Sarah's preservation 💚 Sarah wanted her bouquet to flow with her stunning dress, be a specific shape as a lover of greenery and foliage that was the priority then to have a touch of flowers bringing in some soft shades of pink and touch of blue. The look on Sarah's face when she saw her bouquet is a florists dream, you know you have cracked the code ☺️ she decided at that moment the preservation was happening 💚 and the end result is stunning.
