Having a custom gown made just for you, here in nz, just like the stunning means you are welcome to have as many fittings as you need to feel confident and assured you are aisle ready. When you spend that little bit extra on a custom gown over an off the rack gown (somehow these days off the rack or web purchases they are more expensive... ) you get the luxurious fabrics which have a much nicer finish and look to your gown, you'll have a mock up made to ensure a perfect fit and you are welcome to pop in anytime to talk about your gown or if you have questions along the way.
But when a bride purchases a cheap second hand gown or one off the rack or ordered in from a store, extra costs are going to incur. Don't be fooled please!!!
Some stores have in house alteration people who charge rediculousness. Regardless, it's going to cost you more financially and emotionally than what it would to have one made to fit you like a glove with a personalised service and no additional alterations costs. We will be limiting our services soon with alterations as we want to invest more time where it is valued into our custom brides. Sadly doing alterations to help brides get out of their pickle is costing us significantly in time and working for less than minimum is not worth it anymore. Please value our time... Any creatives time, their heart and soul go into every piece created or worked on. We are not mass producing factories. And just like anyone wouldn't want to work for their boss for free well neither do we work for free.
Photographers, florists, dressmakers, makeup artists, hairstylist, etc... All you self-employed amazing creatives deserve what you are worth.
