A wedding timeline can feel a little cookie-cutter when you're handed the same run sheet template as every other couple.

But here's the thing... ours is tried, tested and works. We've seen enough weddings to know that some things need to happen at a certain time while others can fit in around them.

We're always happy to tweak it to suit your plans, your suppliers and the way you want your day to feel - but there's a reason we start with the same tried-and-true bones.

The season is about to kick off and we're looking for a few more legends to join the Nui Crew.

The shifts can be long but we have a bloody good time. If you want to spend the summer pouring crisp bubbles for thousands of delightful wedding goers on our lush lawn then get in touch 🥂

Hospo experience a bonus but a good attitude is essential. Just about every Google review mentions how amazing the team are, we're pretty proud of our workplace ☺️

You've listened to every version of 'Can't Help Falling in Love' but you're not convinced it's your professional song?

Choosing your ceremony music sounds easy… until you actually have to do it.

How long is your aisle? How many people are walking down? Do you want your bridal party to have their own song? And how long is the signing of the register actually going to take?!

We’ve put together our first Wedding Resource to help, including three playlists packed with songs our couples have actually used at The Nui.

There are also a few little tips we’ve learnt over the years, including one very important Spotify setting that could save you from an awkward musical crossover mid-aisle!

Save this for when you're choosing your songs or share with a friend who definitely doesn't want to walk down to Here Comes The Bride 😅

We're halfway through the annual cut-everything-off-at-the-ground-and-hope-it-grows-back stage 😅🌿 Spot the monkeys in the green pile for scale.

Some things you may not know about the logistics/realities of having a purpose built garden venue:
- We live in Papamoa not on site, there is nowhere to build a house on the property...(Tree house 🤔)
- This one will shock you... We don't infact disappear to Europe for winter 😢
- There is no where on the property to dispose of the green waste so we either drive it by the trailer load to my parents place an hour away or pay to dump it 🤑🤦🏻‍♀️
- Put a pic of me in for good measure but let's be honest RickTok & my parents do all the muscle work in the gardens 💪🏼🪏

Every time this gorgeous lady visited the venue it was like catching up with a friend I hadn't seen for a while, sharing stories about life & family, while chipping away at wedding plans.

It's a funny job this one... you can become so intwined in peoples lives for a year or two and then they're gone.

Maybe we'll throw a 'past couples of The Nui' reunion at some point 👀🤎🌿

It's funny looking back at old photos, you notice how some things have changed and some have stayed exactly the same.

Same faces, same determination and definitely the same habit of celebrating anything & everything with a glass of bubbles 🥂

Five years ago the Ōmahanui dream began with an old wedding venue that needed a little love... and a lot of hard work! It had good bones... and my very naive take on the grounds was "the gardens are all green, they'll take care of themselves" 🤦🏻‍♀️😅 sorry Ricky!

All of these photos are from the first few days after takeover. A few magic wands were waived & four months later, we hosted our first wedding.
