As I have closed my bridal business, alterations can now be done by me through Pristine Drycleaners alterations department as of 15th April 2026.

The Process.

Have you ever wondered how the process of a custom gown works?

Let's go on this beautiful journey together.

First of all, let's meet for a consultation in White Silks Atelier in the heart of downtown Tauranga.
You are welcome to browse through our exclusive collection of gowns, all of which are handcrafted in our beautiful atelier. Together we discuss your dream gown, view fabrics and laces and design your gown all within this special time. Allow 1 to 2 hours for the initial consultation.

Once you have said I love it! The process of handcrafting your amazing gown begins.
With 16 years in the industry, we have refined our processes to make it enjoyable and stress-free.
A mock up of your gown is created, here we fit this on you and define all the important aspects of your gown from neckline depths, drawing in the waistline and getting the ultimate fit whether it be for a fitted gown or a less structured gown.

Much care is taken here on in to carefully bring your vision to reality. Once we have created 90% of the gown we do a fitting.
The voiles are drawn for your privacy and to have your moment. It's all about you.
In this fitting we will make any necessary adjustments if needed and hem your gown.
Once the adjustments have been completed we will see you once more for a full dress rehearsal. We invite you to bring your jewelry to try on, shoes, veil (we can custom make these to compliment your gown) and any other accessories needed to ensure you are aisle ready. You are welcome to bring your bridal party and we will be happy to show one of your girls how to get you dressed and all the secret tips that will ensure you are well taken care of on your big day. Because it's all about you!
