In 2015, I studied and completed my Diploma in Patisserie and Bakery in Rotorua. I have been passionate about baking (and food) since I was a young child, often measuring a school or family activity based on what we were fed. I didn’t need to be fancy, but it needed to be filling and tasty!
We started our business making a range of pastries, cheesecakes and sweet treats to sell at the local market early 2016. 6 months further into the year, we decided pursue our food adventure further and purchased a small business, located on Miro St, Taupo. We named the business Constables Corner after our family name and painted the building bright purple.
Our business has now grown to include buffet catering, light catering (morning/afternoon tea, work lunches, smoko shouts), dessert catering, nibbles, cakes of all flavours, varieties and styles - including Birthday, Wedding, Celebration, Cheesecakes and just for the love of cake.
After a year of ideas, markets and inspiration we are on a new venture with our new building name in October 2018 - Constables - Kitchen on Miro. We are offering hand made Ciabatta sandwiches, pies, slices, beautiful Volcanic coffee, breakfasts and lunch meals, with options to suit everyone. Come and visit, we have seating and a view!
