I've been holding on to this branch for about a year because I loved the shape. I was asked to make something to go above a bed that wouldn't have little bits falling off with a pop of red and orange. The strawflowers are perfect because they'll hold their colour and don't have little leaves. All tied with twine, so completely sustainable.

So this week was a good one... it started on Monday when we found out we were finalists in the Retail Royalty section of the Stella Awards (Taupo business awards recognising great customer service) and ended with two 5 star Google reviews.

Thank goodness for cymbidium orchids over winter. It's so lovely not stressing about whether the flowers will last at this time of year. While they might be more expensive than summer flowers, at least you know they should last a good couple of weeks if not longer.
