Wanted to share what our level 4s have done this week.

They made.
Beef roll with caramelized cabbage
Spanish tortilla
Fermented cheese log
Crackers
Salmon terrine
Oyster mayo
Olive tap
Compressed cucumber

This is our cold lader unit.

They will do an assessment in a few weeks doing all of this again but adding

Raw fish in wonton
Chicken liver pate on vogals

I'm so proud of their efforts and how hard they have been working..

Northtec training cafe 1st day done.

Thank you to everyone who came in to support our students learning today.

Also a note to remember when coming in to eat Remember our students are learning, today was the 1st time they had been in a commercial kitchen cooking for you.

So please! Be kind have patience your actions toward our whanau will make or break them.
We are learning so kai might take a long time and they may forget things. (It was day 1)

That's why you are paying a cheaper price.

Most people are amazing but it only take 1 to make it bad..

So please remember call or message ahead of time if your in a rush.

And just be kind or kindly est some where else..

First time ever in kaitaia Level 4 chef class has started.
We also have a level 3 class who will transition in to level 4 in Jan
This is 1 year and they learn to make some amazing kai and be apart of an amazing team.

Our Cafe will be open Thursday only from this week. 8.30am.

We have some raw fish with a Thai twist this week and much more.

Northtec hospitality is not closing we are doing some big renovation for our upcoming courses.

We will start 21st July so if anyone wants to join cookery level 3. Get in touch now.

You only have to ne 16 and above and it's free if you have not studied at polytechnic before.

We also have level 4 starting. So if you have done level 3 cookery that's will be your next step.

Our new equipment and space will be amazing.

Taking enrolments now if you are 16 and above- Cookery Level 3 Tuesday to Thursday 9am to 2.30pm

Its free if you have not studied at Pollytec before!
You will receive one knife kit, Chef uniforms and chef book Guide

This is 19 weeks- Then you can go on to do Level 4 in Jan 2026 if you like.

There is a lot of work in our community if you hold these certs.
