From early morning pack-ins to late-night pack-outs, our freshly branded Wild Apricot van is officially hitting the road—and you’ll be seeing a lot more of us around town!

We’re out and about bringing bold, beautiful events to life across the Bay and beyond—school balls, corporate functions, gala dinners, launches, and everything in between. Packed to the roof with props, florals, backdrops, lighting and a whole lot of creative energy, this little van is where the magic begins.

When Western Heights High School reached out to us with a request for a theme based on one of our favorite kids' movies, we couldn’t wait to get started!

They wanted a 'Tangled' themed School Ball, and we immediately thought of lush purple and white flowers, complemented by the charming purple bunting which we carefully painted on the all-important golden sun symbol to really set the scene.

Creating an enchanted forest ambiance for the entranceway was a must, and we knew a magical, whimsical photo area would be the perfect spot to help students capture those special memories on this unforgettable night!

This notable event was hosted at the entrance of Te Puia in Rotorua. The New Zealand Māori Arts & Crafts Institute was launching a new initiative, and Te Puia provided an ideal setting for this occasion. Their intention was to elevate the atmosphere further by creating a more impressive environment on site.

We customized the space by draping the area and using uplighting to subtly enhance the ambiance, ensuring a sophisticated and engaging event.

The launch was highly successful, and the event was well-received.

We would like to thank the team at Te Puia - Rotorua, NZ for their continued collaboration and support, as well as Production Agency for their assistance in providing exceptional lighting systems to help us achieve our goals.

Elegant yet understated to complement a stunning venue! This centrepiece was created re-purposing materials for an incentive dinner at Te Puia - Rotorua, NZ this week — where the geothermal landscape, rich culture, and world-class hospitality already set the tone.

We kept the styling minimal, playful, and full of texture — allowing the surroundings to shine while adding a touch of Wild Apricot flair.

A joy to design. Even more of a joy to see it come to life.

Champagne On The Shore – Event Themeing for Purpose

We were honoured to be invited to bring this year’s Champagne On The Shore fundraising event to life with a bespoke theming experience that matched the elegance and impact of the cause it supports. A grand entrance, bright floral arrangements, champagne wall and elegant décor - every detail was crafted to reflect celebration, community, and care.

This beautiful evening was about more than just aesthetics—it was about creating a space where generosity could shine. Each thoughtful styling element was designed to elevate the guest experience and honour the incredible work of helping families stay close during some of the toughest times of their lives.

Welcome to TRENZ 2025

This month we had the pleasure of bringing the TRENZ 2025 Welcome Function to life with styling that celebrated the natural beauty of Aotearoa.

Guests were welcomed down a lush, sparkling green walkway of native plants into the stunning Te Whakaruruhau function space and dined at Pātaka Kai surrounded by thoughtful, living design.

Our theming was inspired by the textures, forms and mauri of the whenua – featuring custom syntropic nest-inspired centrepieces created in collaboration with the incredible team at Food Forest.

Huge thanks to the amazing staff at Te Puia – your manaakitanga made this experience seamless and special. And to the event team behind TRENZ – what an honour to be part of this prestigious welcome event!

ISLAND NIGHT MAGIC

What a night! Wild Apricot Events styled the Rotary 9920 & 9930 Conference 2025 – Island Night Gala Dinner as part of the Better Together celebrations in Rotorua.
Held at the Energy Events Centre, we transformed the space into a vibrant Pacific-inspired paradise — think tropical blooms, lush palms, bold colours, and golden accents, all brought together to honour the spirit of connection and cultural celebration.

From the bold floral archways to the tropical centrepieces and woven textures, every detail was designed to reflect the warmth, energy, and joy of the Pacific.
A huge mihi to the conference team for entrusting us with this vision — and to all the hands behind the scenes who helped make the night sing.

Pink Fluffy Unicorns Dancing on Rainbows

Some days in business are full of spreadsheets, strategy decks and big decisions. And then there are moments like this — when your daughter casually creates something in the back seat that reminds you of some things…

Pink fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbows somehow brings me back to myself and makes me smile EVERY time. It sits in the car in the middle console and I will leave it there as long as it lasts.
