Rotorua Sarapu Cup - May 2026

It was another great tournament with 37 players in 4 divisions♟

🏆Winners of each division🏅
Rooks - 1st Kotua (won 7 out of 7!), 2nd Alvin, 3rd Joshya
Bishops - 1st Tommy
Knights - 1st Evaan, Under 10 James (1st tied)
Pawns - 1st Mathew, Under 8 Joey (1st tied)

Thank you all parents and whanau for helping out to run the tournament nice and smooth! We really appreciate Lynmore Primary School to let us use their beautiful venue for the tournament.

The next Rotorua Sarapu Cup is on Sunday 17 May♟

⏰ Time: 2pm - 6:30pm *Check-in starts from 1:45pm

NOTE: We have a "no computer games" rule at Rotorua Sarapu cup events. Please do not send your child with a device, or if they need a phone they can leave it in their bag during the day. Everyone is welcome to bring books, balls, frisbees etc! If it is wet we encourage to send your child with a book.

Term 2 Rotorua Regionals (interschool tournaments) are coming next month and the Sarapu Cup is a perfect place to practice for the upcoming tournaments!!!
