Sam and Ben met at 21 and, despite wrong numbers, missed messages, and every reason to lose touch, somehow found their way back to each other.

Love has a way of doing that.

Their day at The Winehouse felt like sunshine in every sense - parasols shading the ceremony, champagne towers flowing, and long tables filled with laughter and handwritten notes for every guest.

Save this! Sunset in Queenstown changes faster than you think…

Right now (May), sunset is around 5:30pm - 5:45pm

But by the end of the month, it’s closer to 5:00pm

That’s nearly a 45-minute shift in just a few weeks.

If you’re planning your ceremony or photos around golden hour, this matters more than you might expect.

Golden hour usually starts 60–90 minutes before sunset - but in Queenstown, the mountains often bring that light forward even earlier.

This is why “rough guides” can only take you so far - timing your exact date properly makes all the difference.
