Not all couples get rainbows on their wedding day! Rebecca and Mark got lucky at their stunning spring wedding at Millbrook Resort with sun, rain, and fresh snow on the mountain tops, and of course a rainbow, which made for some dramatic photos.

Covid has been devastating to the wedding industry in Queenstown, and now Omicron is edging closer in our peak time. It's made me value the weddings that are still going ahead, and I feel like I did at the start of my wedding career. Euphoric to celebrate love with good people in a stunning place. Here's a few stunners from the recent heli-elopement of Alysse and Daniel to help lift the spirit. They had their ceremony at Lake Lochnagar and then flew back to Cecil Peak for some more photos. Clearly, all you need is love (and a helicopter!).

This is what I'm missing the most, gorgeous couples like Chiara and Matteo from Italy who wanted to elope, just the two of them, to Queenstown and get married by the side of the lake. I found a secret beach where they declared their love in a simple, heartfelt ceremony. It was so special helping them make their wedding dream come true. (And Italians really know how to kiss!!)

Now Lisa and Andy knew how to party, spurred on by the incredible Jetset band who lifted the roof off at The Rippon Hall. Since lockdown, I've made a vow to dance at every wedding I photograph as you never know what's around the corner so have fun!! Watch out my future couples for some serious b***y shaking.

Leon and Elise's wedding was my last before lockdown and so special. Everything was stacked against them, with guests flights being cancelled, their celebrant having to cancel due a covid19 outbreak at her daughter’s school a few days before, and lots of other dramas along the way, but neither of them gave up. Their day was just perfect at a crazy beautiful venue high up in the Central Otago hills. I received a thank you from them recently which meant so much as I did my absolute best to give them awesome photos to show them everything they went through to make their day happen was worth it.

Loving this epic wedding film we made for Kelly and Wayd's adventurous wedding. They had a first look at a stunning house overlooking Lake Wakatipu, then jumped in a helicopter and flew to Lochnaghar and then Earnslaw Burn, then landed at NZ High Country for their reception with family and friends. It was an epic day and they were fantastic people.
