Today, along with the loving support of family and friends, I closed the doors of Floral Affaire for the last time. I have honestly enjoyed the journey of owning such a well loved store for the last 7 years. I have been so incredibly lucky to have had the privilege of meeting such a wonderful array of people who started out as customers, staff or fellow business women but have now become friends.

Thank you to everyone who have been loyal local shoppers and to those who have even just come in for a chat on the quiet days. It is now time for me to spend more time with my husband and kids and enjoy a nice long summer break.

We are closing down and there’s only 2 days to go before we close the doors. So for Friday and Sunday there is 70% off everything not already reduced. We are closed on Saturday.

Wow. What a week!!!! The closing down sale has been a real hit and stock is moving fast. I have worked this whole week by myself and am exhausted both mentally and physically. So I am taking a break. We will be close Saturday and Sunday. The sale will continue on Monday from 10am.

To those lovely people that still have Gift Vouchers for Floral Affaire we are still accepting them but they are only valid until our last trading day, September 23rd. Get in quick though because stock is moving very quickly. It won’t be long before there’s nothing left.

As we are closing down we will only have minimal fresh flower bouquets available at the door this week. We are unable to take any further orders.

This is one of the hardest posts I’ve ever had to write. After owning Floral Affaire for the last 7years we have had to make the incredibly hard decision to close the doors. We have not taken this decision lightly but due to the current and forecast economic climate, the increase in inflation, insurances and everything else NZ small businesses have had to deal with over the last few years, we don’t see a viable future. It’s so hard for everyone out there with the cost of living so incredibly high, we know it is hard for customers to support us like they have in the past. It is now time for me to step out to take time for myself and focus on my family.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the wonderful, loyal customers that have supported me throughout my journey. I will miss you all and will never forget how many of you started as customers but are now my friends. Our last day will be Saturday, September 23rd. Please come in and say goodbye and pick up a bargain in our closing down sale.
