Gear Homestead Venue and Bar has seriously outdone themselves with their ChoctoberFest entries this year!

We tried the Ninth Planet 🪐 a Whittaker's Chocolate Lovers 72% Dark Ghana chocolate baked mud cake with Creamy Milk chocolate mousse, a salted caramel centre and dark chocolate mirror glaze.

And this thing was MASSIVE 😂 At $22, one was easily enough for Jamie and me to share.

We also tried the Jelly Tipple 🍓🍸, inspired by the iconic Whittaker’s Jelly Tip block with dark chocolate, berry and hazelnut flavours.

Good weather, chocolate and this setting… such a nice little spring afternoon 🤎

We’ve put together a festive shared feast for groups of 10–30 guests, designed for long tables, good food and a little Christmas cheer.

Think festive antipasto to start, generous shared mains and sides, followed by a sweet Christmas dessert platter — all served family-style so everyone can dig in and enjoy.

$65 + GST per person

Our Choctober Fest creation The Ninth Planet has officially landed at Gear Homestead.

A handcrafted chocolate planet made with Whittaker’s 72% Dark Ghana chocolate baked mud cake, creamy Milk Chocolate mousse and a salted caramel centre, finished with a glossy Dark Ghana mirror glaze and chocolate rings.

Rich, chocolatey and definitely worthy of its own orbit.
