Meatstock Hamilton 2025 all done and dusted. What an awesome couple of days of barbecue!!

Thanks to everyone who came and supported us over the weekend.

It was great to see so many familiar faces and catch up with everyone.

Massive thanks to our wonderful group of helpers who came and worked their asses off. You guys were awesome. Cheers to Rolling Coal BBQ for the use of their pit. It was awesome seeing the two SmokeDogg Smokers side by side.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of catering an awesome wedding down in Omori. We cooked a whole lamb as well as lamb and chicken from the pit with all the trimmings and fixings. All served family dining style.

We catered our first wedding of 2025 last weekend out at Pirongia Pines Event Venue. What an awesome venue! It was a great place to barbecue.

A big weekend for the Smokin' Oak team. Catering for a 21st Friday evening with a killer barbecue grazing table, then we hit the Morrinsville Country Market Saturday to share our barbecue with the fine folk of Morrinsville, and finished up catering for the Piako Wine Club Sunday with a brisket and pulled pork buffet.

We're now enjoying a cold beer and reflecting on a great weekend of barbecue. Not long to relax though... we're straight into more work dos this week!! Bring it on!

Another awesome barbecue platter catered for last night!

Brisket, pork ribs and pork belly burnt ends with all the trimmings. Slaw, queso dip, salsa, pickles and breads.

First end of year work do of the season!

A fun local one for the good folk at Odlumgroup in Morrinsville. What an awesome group of people.

For this one we cooked brisket, pulled pork and pulled lamb plus herb and butter potatoes and slaw.

Another awesome barbecue grazing table last night for the teams from BNI Morrinsville and BNI Matamata, NZ.

This one had beef short rib, pulled pork, smoked sausages, queso dip, slaw, street corn salad, pickles, breads, and chips.

Net result: lots of happy people with full stomachs!!

We have catering and festival events coming up from November and throughout the summer months so we are looking to put together a pool of casual superstars to help prepare, cook, serve and embrace the art of American style barbecue.

Yesterday we hosted our Barbecue and Butchery Masterclass in Cambridge. Thankfully the weather held out, and we had an awesome day of barbecue with an awesome group of people.

We cooked up a whole lot of barbecue as well as covering off some delicious sides and sauces. Not to mention breaking down a whole lamb and talking knife sharpening and maintenance.

Thanks so much to everyone who came along! We hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did.

Last weekend we did this awesome barbecue grazing table for a birthday party in Te Aroha. Sliced brisket, pulled pork, smoked sausages, queso dip plus pickles, salsa, chips, and buns. It was quite the feed, and it was super fun to do something a little different.
