Hey everyone!

What a fantastic day we had on Sunday at the Foxton Easter Sunday Fair! cheers to the organizers and everyone else involved! And Gees wasn't the weather awesome too!

This week:

Friday, Anzac Day, we'll be on Main Street, just up from the Square at O'Brians Manawatu carpark from 7am - midday!
We'll be serving our regular menu along with our Anzac "Gunfire Breakfast" options- add bacon, mushrooms, caramelized onions, breakfast sausage, beans and maybe even chicken and waffles!
We'll also be joined by Grillhaus NZ with their fantastic Italian style coffee, French toast fingers, bacon & egg batties and delicious bratwurst!

And on Saturday:
We're back at Whanganui River Markets 8.30-1pm(we'll be serving from 10am)

Also next week:
Wed 30th April, Marton- Rangatiki Squash Club

Thurs 1st May, A1 Palmy pop-up at A1 Sandblasters & Sacks Ltd

Hey everyone!!

Happy Easter school holidays!!

Tomorrow night we're back at our A1 palmy pop-up in Kelvin Grove with our friends Grillhaus NZ and Toastie Boy , 5-8pm in the A1 Sandblasters & Sacks Ltd carpark.

We'll have all your favorites + loaded Keto Cauli bake, loaded veg Medley, apple crumble with ice-cream, kids slider burgers AND-a school holiday special
-Make Your Own SMORES!
We'll have charcoal braziers, marshmallows and choc bickies standing by from 6pm- $2.50ea or $10/family(5x smores) YUM!!😋

And then on Sunday we'll see you at the Foxton Easter Sunday Fair from 9am- 4pm.

Well, the big multi-day events are over for this part of the year for us, here's where you'll find us this week(and later this month):

Thursday, tomorrow night from 5-8 A1 Palmy pop-up! A1 Sandblasters & Sacks Ltd carpark with Grillhaus NZ and Toastie Boy

Saturday evening we're at Robertson Prestige International Speedway gates open at 5, racing starts 6pm.

Annnd Sunday 9-1pm at Hokowhitu Farmers Market -we'll be serving from 10am

April 25th, yes we're doing it again this year! Anzac day breakfast with Grillhaus- location will be O'Briens Manawatu Plumbing and Bathroomware just up from the square.

And 26th April finally making it back to Whanganui River Markets!

Hey folks!

Whoa!! What a busy week we've had!
-had about 2 minutes to catch my breath from Rural Games last weekend then back into trailer mods on the big trailer, managing to get the right hand side platform and roof fitted and working ...then set up at Manfeild last minute
for Central Districts Field Days. It was a cracker 3 days of good weather, logistical headaches and an overall win!
Not as much foot traffic as I've seen in past years, but still enough punters to keep us flat out for 3 days- cheers 👍

We went through a heap of meat but have managed to keep some stock aside for the Hokowhitu Farmers Market tomorrow. Market runs 9am - 1. We'll be serving from about 10am.

Then next week we're at our A1 Palmy pop-up with Grillhaus NZ and Toastie Boy
and Friday night food truck at the Bond Store in Kapati!

Apologies! For our absence at speedway tonight! We were absolutely smashed at the Rural Games in the square today,
and despite camping out on the bbq trailer(in the square) for an overnight cook-up we didn't have a whole lot left for the evening!

Hey everyone!

Pop-up at A1 Sandblasters & Sacks Ltd carpark tonight from 5- 8pm - Grillhaus NZ will be rocking the smoked pork and brats and Toastie Boy his tasty wraps!
We won't be there sorry- we're gearing up for a massive weekend at the NZ Rural Games in the square this weekend on Friday, Saturday and Sunday

We'll also be at Robertson Prestige International Speedway on Saturday night.

We've been working hard on the new big trailer -a few pics below- we've added a huge new vertical smoker, fridge and a few other necessary components. Come check it out at on the weekend!

Hey everyone!
We're back! - after a bit of a hiatus over January and a few appearances at speedway, we're back on the job!

We haven't just been lunching and lounging though,

We've been busy working the the new food trailer, the mobile smoke-house- you may have seen it at speedway TeamsChamps, a few pics below,
and playing with some new recipes and items for the menu- looking forward to serving these up but some development to go still.

Here's where you'll find us this week!

Friday we're at the Nightmares Containment Haunted Attraction on Aorangi Road(look for the signs) from 7pm with Lil'Orbits donuts and the The Ice Cream Man. We'll be serving nachos, burgers, ribs AND new to the menu, sliders- mini burgers all with your choice of smoke meats and sauces.

On Saturday from 10am- 3pm we're at the Waipukarau Art Deco market with our full menu

And on Sunday at Hokowhitu Farmers Market - -finally back again, it's been a while- from 9am -1pm(We'll be serving from 10)

Also next week, we're back at our A1 palmy pop-up at A1 Sandblasters & Sacks Ltd carpark with Grillhaus NZ Tuss’s Tucker - Tasty Thai Fusion and Toastie Boy 5pm-8.

Happy New Year everyone!
We hope your getting a break and having some good times with friends and family.

Here's where you'll find us this week,

Thurs 2nd and Fri 3rd we're at Himitangi beach parked outside the Hīmatangi Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park - thanks Ruben and Alice for having us. We'll be serving from 4pm- 8ish both nights.

And on Saturday 4th we''ll be at Robertson Prestige International Speedway .gates open at 4.30pm, racing starts at 6pm

That's 3 more locations for us before we take a few weeks off- can't wait! During that time we'll keep you updated with pics of our delicious campfire creations and progress of the new mobile smoke house! -new pizza oven in pics. Thanks Adam from Mabey Metalworks for bending up steel for the roof!

Happy Christmas Eve everyone!

The xmas meat orders are cooking and have been for some time now🥱😅.

Pick up is from 6pm at the A1 Sandblasters & Sacks Ltd carpark tonight. Cash and Eftpos available.
Your order will be wrapped in foil, however I suggest you bring a towel to carry home as they'll still be hot!

We are running at full capacity for orders (both smokers full) and short staffed so short-order/takeaways will be at minimum sorry 😞.
We will have a few ribs, spuds, and meat by the kg available.

Hello and season's greetings everyone!

It's been another big year, full of lessons learned and previous lessons implemented. We're looking forward to getting back into next year(after a break in January) with a brand new portable smokehouse- this things huge! It will enable us to expand the menu further, cook and hold more meat and venture into even more inclusive eating having dedicated vegan, DF, GF, and other special wood smoked dishes!

A big thank you to all our followers, regulars and patrons! Cooking good wholesome food for good wholesome people is why I do it, thanks for helping me live out my passion!

Joel and Milly from Knead: fresh bread, desserts and more for the fantastic brioche burger buns,

Kari from Tex-As Salsas the delicious Salsa Roja we use on our nachos,

Thanks lastly to the fam for putting up with the late nights, early mornings, smoke, meat, mess and stress- looking forward to some holiday time with you!

Our last pop-up for the year is on Christmas Eve from 5pm, this is also the pick-up location for christmas orders!
Over the next couple of weeks you'll see us at Robertson Prestige International Speedway and at Himitangi Campground early January for a couple of nights- we'll keep you posted!
