Our gatherings have blossomed over time, nurturing a haven for seniors to savor great fun, delicious food, and captivating entertainment, all at an affordable price. At our upcoming FIKA Luncheon, we'll continue to uplift Children in Care Thames and the Ohinemuri Club Maintenance and Development Fund through our raffles, and your presence will make all the difference. What an incredible turnout at our Christmas Magic luncheon at the Ohinemuri Club yesterday! We're deeply humbled and grateful to everyone who attended and helped make this event a resounding triumph, a shining testament to the power of community spirit. Through your collective efforts, we've successfully raised $400 for the Ohinemuri Club Maintenance and Development Fund and another $400 for CPNZ Paeroa - Night Owls, a remarkable achievement that showcases the impact of kindness and generosity.

Our heartfelt appreciation extends to all who supported our raffles, the Ohinemuri Club for graciously allowing us to use their premises, and our amazing sponsors Valley Funeral Services, Lorraine and Pete C, Robyn for their generous donations to our raffle prizes, embodying the true essence of selflessness and dedication. Thank you for inspiring us with your remarkable spirit and commitment. A special thank you to our superstar team - Christine N, Jeanette M, Pam D, Susan, Sarah B and Ashley D - who worked tirelessly to make this luncheon an unforgettable experience, a shining example of teamwork and collaboration. A huge thank you to our behind the scenes warriors Edilson (fondly known as Eddie), Ashley D and Cindy L, who demonstrated that every effort counts and makes a difference. Mel's Catering Paeroa is thrilled to announce our fifth annual Mid Winter Christmas Magic Community Luncheon, a celebration of love, joy and community, on 12 July 2025 at the Ohinemuri Club from 12 to 2:30pm. We're committed to spreading Christmas cheer to those who need it most, particularly the elderly who may not have family or loved ones to share this special time with. As we've done for the past five years, we're dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others.

To ensure an unforgettable experience, bookings and prepayment are essential, so please secure your spot and let us know of any food allergies. We also encourage you to 'Pay it forward' for friends or family members attending. Your generosity will help spread love and kindness. Tickets are $12 per head. Get ready for an afternoon of fantastic entertainment by Rangi, singalongs, a Christmas trivia quiz with prizes, lucky draws and giftaways by Santa. We'll also be awarding prizes for the Best Christmas Dress up. Additionally, Christmas raffles will be available, with proceeds going to the Ohinemuri Club Maintenance and Development Fund and the Paeroa CPNZ (Community Petrol of New Zealand), who do an outstanding job keeping our streets safe.
