What an incredible turnout at our 6th Annual Mid Winter Christmas Magic luncheon at the Ohinemuri Club yesterday afternoon! We're deeply humbled and grateful to everyone who attended and helped make this event a resounding triumph, a shining testament to the power of community spirit and the boundless potential that arises when we come together in kindness and compassion.
Through your collective efforts, we've successfully raised $400 for the Ohinemuri Club Maintenance and Development Fund and another $800 for CPNZ Paeroa - Night Owls, a remarkable achievement that showcases the profound impact of generosity, empathy, and selflessness.
Our heartfelt appreciation extends to all who supported our raffles, the Ohinemuri Club for graciously allowing us to use their premises, and our amazing sponsors Valley Funeral Services, Jan and Ian M, Teresa, Mark B, Pam and Mike D and Cindy L for their generous donations to our raffle prizes and mini auction items, embodying the true essence of kindness, compassion, and community spirit. Thank you for inspiring us with your remarkable spirit and commitment.
A special thank you to our superstar team - Christine N, Pam D, Jeanette M, Cindy L and Eddie - who worked tirelessly to make this luncheon an unforgettable experience, a shining example of teamwork, collaboration, and dedication. Thank you CPNZ Paeroa team for helping us with the buffet service as well as the delivery of food to ensure a smooth running of the event. Thank you, Valley Funerals, for the extra spot prizes for our happy guests. A huge thank you to our behind the scenes warriors Cindy L and Eddie , who demonstrated that every effort counts and makes a difference. Kudos to Christine N for her outstanding work once again as our MC, quiz mistress and auctioneer, and to Rangi for sharing his incredible talent, reminding us that everyone has a unique gift to offer and share with the world.
It has not been an easy road for us organising these community events - all the hard work, sleepless nights, sweat, and tears, but it was well worth it! We are very glad to be able to make a difference in someone's life.
Our next community FIKA high tea, will be on 1 August 2026, where we will fund raise for Children In Care Thames. There will also be a toy donation drive for this charity, so do bring a new or preloved toy or two when you book and attend this FIKA High tea. We strive to continue to spread love, kindness, and inspiration through our community events. Wishing you a blessed weekend. 🥰❤️💐
