🌟 Restaurant Announcement 🌟
We have some news to share with you, our local supporters; after much consideration, we have decided to transition Restaurant 1861 into its next chapter and will be exclusively catering to in-house guests, private functions and events. Saturday night 24th of February will be our final dinner service for the general public.
Now for the good news! Brenda and the team have worked tirelessly since October 2021 to craft delicious tapas for Oamaru, and we are thrilled to announce that we are merging our 1861 crew into The Criterion Hotel dream team.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who has made Restaurant 1861 the special place it is. Your support has been the driving force behind our success, and we are truly grateful for the memories we've created together.
Stay tuned for updates on what our move to The Criterion Hotel will look like in the coming weeks! In the meantime, Restaurant 1861 will remain open from Thursday to Saturday nights from 5pm until the 24th of February, then by prior arrangement only from March. Any gift vouchers will be honoured until the 24th, after which they will be honoured at The Criterion Hotel; please contact us at [email protected] with any questions.
