We’re looking for a Cafe and Catering Supervisor to join our team at The Public Office and The Caterers.

This role is perfect for someone who is an organising extraordinaire, loves great customer service, and enjoys working in a fast-paced café and catering environment. You’ll be someone who feels comfortable in a customer-facing role, takes pride in creating a great experience for people, and enjoys being part of a supportive team.

At The Public Office we take pride in what we do – from the café floor to our catering events – and we’re looking for someone who enjoys working alongside a great team to help keep things running smoothly.

You must be able to work legally in New Zealand. A Duty Managers Certificate is advantageous but is not necessary. Very competitive package.

A BIG HUGE THANK YOU!

We have our food trailer back! On Friday morning when it was stolen I was sure it was gone forever and was trying to process how we would run our business without it. However our community stepped up and with the CCTV footage, observant customers and the quick action of the police we now have our trailer back!

There is a decent amount of damage to the inside and there is some cosmetic damage to fix on the outside but all things considered it’s in pretty good condition. It will be out of action for a couple of weeks while we get it all fixed up.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to check their cameras, let us know they had seen it in the Waeranga area, provided kind words of support and even baked for us! Thank you so much! We were blown away by the support in our community. We are so lucky to live and do business here!

Its been a while but we are offering our take home meals again. Perfect for busy households, those nights when you want something easy or those who might need a hand with their meals.

This weeks options are some tried and true classics as well as our new Honey Mustard Chicken!

All are $16 for a very generous serving and preorders can be picked up every Thursday (or arrange a time with us). For orders over $150 we will deliver within 15kms of Ngatea.

We now offer a full range of dining and catering options for your special day including bespoke menu design, a fully licensed bar and delicious food packages. Hi! We would like to introduce ourselves to you. We are Simon and Sarah the new owners of The Caterers!

We have over 20 years of hospitality experience through our Hauraki Plains based cafe/restaurant The Public Office and our catering team Orchard Providores.

We can’t wait to bring our fresh, delicious seasonal food to the Coromandel!
