How has it been a whole month already since the 2025 Taranaki Weddings Show?

What a day!

We’ve had some incredible feedback from our Vendors and Visitors alike about this years event - we’re stoked to hear that Vendors have been locking in bookings and happy couples managed to nail their to-do lists!

We’re starting to come out the other side of the post-Wedding Show fog. After months and months of intense planning, long days and lots and lots of stress - it’s time to start thinking about the future of the Taranaki Weddings Show and what our events look like going forward.

We’ve been hosting events for 12 years now - from our first Bridal Fayre in October 2014 until our most recent Wedding Show just 3 weeks ago - our events have continually evolved to to suit the needs of our community and thrived through so many industry and economic challenges.

And another HUGE change is coming. We’re determined to continue delivering an event that inspires couples planning their special day and that continues to deliver exceptional results for the businesses that take part - but times are changing quicker than they ever have before and in order to continue doing that it the current climate - big changes are afoot.

So stay tuned because things are about to get SUPER exciting!

And just like that….

Who can believe the Taranaki Weddings Show is done and dusted for another year?

We’ve been doing this 12 years now and over the years we’ve seen so much change, so much creativity but above all else - we’ve seen community and that’s what it’s ALL about! The community. It’s about giving our Wedding Community a platform to grow, to promote, to collaborate and to communicate.

The weeks leading up to this years Wedding Show were filled with SO much stress, tension and frustration. If you’d asked me a few days ago about next years Wedding Show I’d have told you with almost complete certainty that there wouldn’t be another - because this years Wedding Show felt like it might be the one that finally broke me.

But yesterday morning, in the last hour before we opened the doors - I stood in the venue surrounded by incredible creativity. I saw Vendors greeting each other with hugs, giving last minute compliments on each others outfits and stall designs, asking for advice on final touches and generally supporting and encouraging each other to make the best of the day. The air was filled with positivity, excitement and a real sense of community.

And all I felt was pride.

We can’t wait to share more from the day and about the future of Taranaki Weddings and our events but for now, we celebrate the success of the 2025 Taranaki Weddings Show. We rest, we recharge and then we reset.

TODAY IS THE DAY!

The 2025 Taranaki Weddings Show at the New Plymouth Raceway is officially ON! We have two sessions today - 10.30am until 1pm and 1.30pm until 4pm.

A whole building filled with incredible Wedding Vendors ready to help you plan YOUR big day! General Admission Door Sales are available throughout the day for $15 each - so make sure you stop by, sample some amazing food, listen to some amazing music, pop in the photobooths, chat with caterers, photographers, celebrants, planners and SO much more!
