The Mudcastle At The Mudcastle, all stays are exclusive. An entire castle hire is perfect for groups wanting complete privacy, Weddings, events and more.

The Mudcastle was created by passion and bare hands as a Bed & Breakfast but people soon asked can we hold an event here and the beautiful ball room was added on. The garden offers many hidden secretes for fantastic photo shoots and outside ceremonies which is then complimented with its rainy day back up and reception area. With many new catering options soon to be launched when we announce our ne

w packages and website; you will see that we can cater for 100 guests (Up-grade options) with rooms for up to 16 people to stay over night. For the rest of the guests we have our buses to transport your guests to their accommodation safely. If you would like to consider a conference, wedding, charity ball or just a hen party feel free to make an appointment to take a look around and discuss your idea with the Event manager or the owner Glenys.

To all the Ruby Bay and surrounding area community. We would like to introduce ourselves to you. Our names are Mandy and Dave.
As most of you’s would already know, we have bought Tony and Hollys fantastic business here at Ruby Bay Kitchen and we would like to thank them for giving us this opportunity and we want to wish them all the very best for their next venture.
We look forward to meeting you all and cooking your meals. We have had experience running a takeaway/cafe business in the rai valley for 6 years.
There are very big boots to fill as Tony and Holly have built up and run a very popular and successful business so please bear with us and we will do our very best to carry on where they have left off keeping the menu very much the same if we can.
We have 5 daughters, hopefully some of them will be helping us out through the busy times. We are hoping to open on Thursday 2nd November and will keep you all posted if anything changes. Thanks for your time and we look forward to meeting you all soon.

So very recently we had a Castle stay booking for 16 people from Chch. On the day of arrival the first carload advised that we didn't need to wait around for the others to arrive. They were concerned when advised that we live separately on-site. People started arriving over time until 35 people had arrived complete with a van loaded with bedding and pillows. After a discussion around the fact that we would not accept the extras we came to a compromise and allowed some extra people to stay for a further per head price. The rest went to another Airbnb property. Now this is where it's essential for Hosts who do not live on-site to have good quality exterior cameras so you can monitor this type of deliberate Rort. This type of thing has only started happening after we came out of lockdown.
