How amazing was that long weekend! Labour weekend is when most of us plan to get the garden in order, the risk of frost has passed and we have 3 whole days to get stuck in... I didn't get mine in over the weekend cos... Solo mum life 😂 But I'll be planting all my dahlias this week!

Yay I can finally tell you!

I honestly had no idea what a big deal the Sunday Magazine was, I am laughing now thinking of the reporter explaining it to me after my very low-key reaction 😂 😂 I did have a few guesses that we were going to be in a magazine so well done to you guys who figured it out! I

It's pretty cool that people get to hear about our farm but I'm even more excited that they will be reading how a solo mama can make it on her own starting a business 🔨 💪 ♥️ I know there was a time when I really needed to see that there were other options out there for me. For us 🥰

We are just having the cutest weekend! My wee girl has had a friend over for a sleepover so it's been 24hrs of princess parties and dance parties and colouring in amongst flowering, and then at 12pm the Spring Carnival is on in town!

We have been practicing all week to join the flash mob (don't worry I'm not spoiling it, it's a very badly kept secret- it's on the published schedule 😂 😂) and we are both excited for the Kapa Haka and the food and the performances... I hear there will be clowns! (The cool kind not the scary kind 😂)

Will you be heading down?

Ooh overnight drama! I got a message this morning from a lovely neighbor who said that the stand blew over in the night (or was pushed? 🫢) and she stood it back up for me 😍

That thing is HEAVY so that's no simple feat 😂

But she's up again! Flowers out from 9am ☺️

Was it windy last night?

PS I actually have a new stand in the works by the way... Can't wait til it's ready! I think it'll actually stay standing 😂
