WINTER WARMER ANNOUNCEMENT
Straight outta the mighty Heretaunga, Taniwhunk is a force amongst the Hawke’s Bay groove. As a promoter and DJ, he’s dedicated to raising the stakes in Hawke's Bay's music industry and showcasing the undeniable talent here.

But on the decks, he’s a digital crate-digging purist. Known for hunting down obscure remixes that capture the essence of the original's roots. Seamlessly weaving them into high-energy House, Tech-House, and Indie Dance sets.

He's rocked venues like Diva's, The Cabana, Community Burgers, Paisley Stage, Peak House and Common Room to larger festivals like Arkadien, Nuit Blanche, and Cape Estate and recently shared stages with Frank Booker and Broderbeats.

In Session returns and its coming at you in a stunningly sweet new spot with some extra special guests.
Mystori and Hinerau-Kahukura, are heading up from Pōneke for an exclusive B2B. Expect depth, groove, bass and a touch of magic.

They’re joined by our local loves, UNTZ bringing the bounce, alongside Diffusion (sneeky & Shutter) delivering their deep, dirty, funky flavour.

Be ready to settle into the lush spot of Mix’d Cocktail Bar, Ahuriri. With some of the best views in town, we’re serving deep grooves, bouncing energy, and bassy funk for ya trunk, all powered by the massive Hangi Hi-Fi sound system.

In Session is a special space to connect through sound and dance by bringing some of Aotearoa’s finest selectors to Hawke'sBay.

Tomorrow is Crab Fest and we are in for a scorcher!

We can’t wait to see you for a day of fun, connection, food, and music.
Before we all get together, we’d like to remind everyone that respect for each other, the space, and consent, is key to ensuring everyone has an amazing experience. Please be mindful of personal space, always ask for permission before interacting with others, and be kind to those around you. This is a family friendly event so please be mindful of your behaviour and interactions especially around children.
Parents, also please make sure your tamariki are looked after and respecting the space.
Let’s continue with creating Crab Fest as safe, inclusive space for everyone!

We do have some awesome activities for the kids (and adults). Hula hoops, Frisbees, ball games, an art station and bubble machine.

What You Need to Know:
Music is kicking off at 3pm, gates open at 2.30pm, get in early to secure your spot on the grass
We will be located on the special outdoor grass area to the left of entrance
The Weather is looking mint! Feel free to bring a rug, low chair, or beanbag to relax in comfort.
Bring Sunblock!
This is a licensed event, so NO BYO drinks or food is allowed.
Enjoy delicious food from Fork & Noise and Crab Farm's Kitchen - your taste buds will thank you!
Tickets online have sold out, there are very few door sales, $35 CASH ONLY.
Kids under 12 free!

8pm - 11pm(inside) - After Party

The afterparty is R18, $10 for Crab Fest ticket holders and $15 for everyone else, this is available on the door throughout the event. CASH ONLY

DJs for the afterparty are A-ON and Diffusion.

Next on the Crab Fest line up is... DJ Funky Pepper. This musical maestro brings energy, style and unforgettable vibes to every party. Specialising in house, disco and feel good classics, he knows how to fill a dance floor and keep it grooving with sets tailored to suit every occasion.
DJ Funky Pepper is Floyd Pepper, a producer and performer with over a decade of experience. He has toured across New Zealand, played festivals here and overseas under his CASHEK alias, and is set to bring the heat to Crab Fest. Living and breathing music, DJ Funky Pepper delivers the perfect soundtrack for a truly memorable celebration.

We are stoked to announce the first act locked in for Crab Fest 2026…

The Peroni Session. A five piece band straight out of the beautiful Hawke’s Bay, serving up a set as diverse as they are. Think Bowie to The Black Keys, Salmonella Dub to The Black Seeds, with absolute gems cherry picked from over six decades of music. Dub, roots, funk, pop, reggae, rock, soul. The good stuff, done right.

As the story goes, The Peronis also enjoy a Negroni. During Napier’s annual Negroni Week, a few drinks deep, it was decided the only thing they were missing was matching sneakers. And just like that, the yellow shoes were born.

You’re gonna want to be front and centre for this one.

What a way to kick off summer.
