Just when I think after 20 years and 800+ weddings I’ve seen and shot it all…Fhiona and Kris knocked one out of the park!

It was a pleasure to tell this story in both words and pictures for . It’s one of a couple of amazing weddings I’ve been part of lately that made for fantastic real life love stories for the magazine, who I freelance write and shoot for.

Cassandra was born by emergency c-section, with her first-time mum losing 1.6L of blood in a very challenging delivery. But that didn’t stop the pair walking down the aisle 72hours later and celebrating with 70-odd friends at a fabulous wedding at .

For a love ju**ie like me, it was pretty bloody special to shoot a wedding AND a newborn shoot at the same time!

Weddings aren't all about the picture-perfect moments. In fact, I'm a bit of a fan of the imperfect moments. Lots of brides are also mothers these days, and the look on Catherine's face when Piper bit her big sister's finger and s**t hit the fan right in the middle of the 'perfect' wedding is one that will be recognised by every mother the world over.
Weddings are real. They aren't editorial photoshoots for Vogue or made-to-measure events to wallpaper your grid. It's about moments, not poses.
When I'm by your side on your wedding day, expect Plot B as well as all the pretty Plot A moments you imagined, and we'll get along just fine!

I don't think I got the memo about never working with children and animals?? And Miss Quinn didn't get the one about not outshining the bride?

This wedding was BIG for Kerri and Matt. Not just for them personally, but it was their first ever wedding as the new owners of epic tipi wedding [email protected] . I love, love, love being creative at this place and seeing how every couple makes it their own.
