I learned so much about styling a home during my shoot and website refresh with Katie Kettle from . She doesn't style and stage homes in the conventional way with gorgeous but kinda 'everywhere' furnishings that fit with today's aesthetic.
Rather, she forages and finds...and reinvents the treasures we all collect over time but don't always know how to present and pull together. It's an approach that aims to be both sustainable and affordable for her clients.
Her Squarespace website now really reflects her brand and personal style thanks to a lick and a polish with new copy, images and design tweaks done under my other business brand, .web.design

When I listened to Holly's speech at her best friend Olivia's wedding recently, I was glad to be at the back of the room with a zoom lens so no one saw me wiping away my tears.

Holly shared with the large group of 140 guests at what an incredible honour it was not just to be chosen to stand beside Olivia at her wedding, but to get given that role as a trans-woman.

She shared the story of how their friendship began because Olivia reached out to a stranger (Holly) to check if she was ok after some online banter turned a little mean due to Holly's gender. Their friendship grew from there and this story really made me feel like new husband, Henry, was one heck of a lucky guy.

Help! After all those ‘Bride of the Year’ competitions when I asked you to vote for your favourite photo, I’m now doing it again for my own self interest this time lol. A random pic I shot just on my iPhone during the Tora Coastal Walk in the Wairarapa last year is one of 7 in the running to win a $2k+ package to do the walk again with a friend. Which I would LOVE to do! In fact I’d even take a ‘real’ camera next time. Could you please consider ‘liking’ my pic? It’s the first one of the mountain and foreshore close to sunset (the original uncropped, higher res image looked way cooler).

One of my favourite parts of the day! Bridesmaid reveals only take a minute and are good fun to slot into your pre-wedding timeline. Just make sure your makeup artist is still lurking for touchups or...as I always tell my girls...look up and SNIFF! It seems to suck those tears right back into your face lol.

Even though I’d only just met Mitch and Chelsea when we did this engagement shoot, by the end of it I felt like I’d know them forever. Maybe that’s just because I love getting to know people and ask way too many questions.
One fun fact I learned was that they met at the same place I met my husband…Church Road Winery.
They sit side by side in the office, and guide the guest experience.
I have some gorgeous pics of them at the winery to share at some point but here are some favs from the start of our shoot in Dolbel Reserve and right on top of Sugar Loaf. Taradale, you’re gorgeous in late autumn!

A DECADE MARRIED TODAY! My years of oversharing about my personal life are well behind me but what I will say about marriage and family is that both have been the hardest yet most rewarding things I've ever done, and the things that every day of my life force me to become a better version of myself. I also know it's absolutely true that your wedding photos become more precious every year you're married.
Thanks to Brad for being a husband and father whom I respect more every year I'm with him. He's extremely low key so will be mortified by this post but a bit of good old fashioned PDA is justified on special occasions.

So my social media stress is real, folks. Almost a thousand images from a wedding and I love them all, so how does a girl choose only TEN to post?
