Sometimes floral care is less about adding more and more, and more about knowing when to edit 💐

One of the dahlias at was looking a little sad today, so Liz did what she does best. The drooping head was removed, the arrangement was reduced from three blooms to two, and a little bear grass was added to rebalance the shape and give the remaining flowers the space they needed and the new arrangement moved to a location that suited its new shape.

That attention to detail is one of the things we value most about having our resident florist in-house through Ninety Nine Florals. Liz understands flowers properly: how they behave, how long they’ll last, when they need trimming, when an arrangement needs adjusting and when a small change will serve the flowers far better than simply replacing everything.

And importantly, she checks back on the florals. They aren’t installed and forgotten. They’re maintained, refreshed and reformulated where needed so they continue to look considered and work for the space they’re in.

It’s a small detail, but in events and venue styling, the small details can often be the very ones that make the difference.

We’re an events company sure, but we’re also venue managers too.

Ninety Nine Reasons has worked alongside for years, and that relationship works because venue management and event management are far more closely connected than people sometimes realise.

A venue like Karaka Pavilion needs more than someone taking bookings and opening doors. It needs people who understand events from the inside out, because every decision about the venue ultimately affects the experience happening within it.

Five days, one location and a full customer experience built around Scania.

We spent the week at Rydges Formosa for Experience Scania, a five-day programme designed for Scania customers and delivered across multiple days, activities and touchpoints.

Events of this length need more than a good opening moment. They need consistency, pacing and enough variety to keep people engaged from day one through to the finish. Alongside the wider programme, Total Events brought in a Scania quiz and build activity, while Brandstand, Rydges Formosa, The Fairy Light Shop and the wider supplier team all helped bring the experience together.

For Ninety Nine Reasons, this is the kind of work we know well: multi-day programmes with plenty of moving parts, multiple suppliers and a guest experience that still needs to feel seamless from beginning to end.

A full week on site, a great team around us and another strong customer event delivered for Scania NZ.

There’s something about seeing an event from above that really shows what a space can do.

Karaka Pavilion has been one of our favourite event spaces for many years, and for good reason. It gives us the scale, flexibility and infrastructure to build very different events properly, from gala dinners and awards evenings to conferences, activations and large corporate functions.

This throwback aerial view is a good example of that. Every table, lighting position, stage element and guest pathway has to work together, and when it does, the room feels considered from every angle.

We’ve managed many events at Karaka Pavilion over the years, and it remains one of those venues we know well, trust completely and are always happy to return to.

Day two of the Canella product launch for .co.nz , this time at QT Auckland. 🇮🇹✨

A new location gives an activation a completely different energy, and that’s part of what makes multi-day events interesting to work on. The brand still needs to feel recognisable, but the setting, the room and the guest experience all bring their own character to the day.

For us, that means making sure the details still feel considered from arrival through to product presentation, styling and the way guests move through the space.

Another strong day, another great Auckland venue and another chapter in the Canella brand story unfolding.

A little taste of Italy, brought to Auckland. 🇮🇹🍑

For the Canella trade launch Day 1 of 2 for .co.nz at Four Points by Sheraton, the brief was about creating an experience that gave the brand room to be seen, sampled and remembered.

Trade events like this work best when people can do more than simply look at a product. They need to experience it, talk about it and leave with a clear sense of the brand behind it. That’s where thoughtful activation planning makes the difference.

A vibrant afternoon for Sapori Italia and Canella, and another reminder that a good launch is about much more than putting product on a table.

The busiest six weeks of the year are about to begin.
