Friday night done right ✨
The brief: canapés + dessert for 210 guests.

On the menu:

• Moroccan lamb meatballs with mint cucumber tzatziki
• Thai corn fritters with sour cream & herbs
• Pulled pork tacos
• Southern fried chicken bites with kewpie & sriracha

Dessert was a selection of individual chocolate mousses, cheesecakes & pastry tarts 🍫🍰

With 5 waitstaff on the floor and 3 in the kitchen, everything ran like clockwork. A great team effort and a fantastic night all round!

It was for a recent wedding I catered in Staveley at the Co-Op new venue.
The wedding was for around 120 people family style shared dining.

Took a trip one hour up the Rakaia Gorge to serve this buffet main & desserts yesterday, incredible spot looking over the braided Rakaia river.

Today reminded me how little I’ve been posting on my socials lately!

Still here, doing my thing and loving the busy season.

From now until the 21st of December it’s flat tack
• 3 big venue weddings (including 2 at venues new to me)
• Lots of work Christmas functions
• A 90th birthday afternoon
• And a few other events dotted in between.

I’ve taken on a lot more weddings again this past year after having a wee break, and it turns out there are actually very few local Mid Canterbury wedding caterers. There are plenty of options out there, but many come from out of town with their own teams.
As I always say to my customers: there are choices when it comes to catering, but in my opinion, you get what you pay for.
