Elle + Clayton - the most relaxed and chilled out day, a cake so tempting that Elle was sneaking a wee taste before they even cut the cake (I mean why not though) and some amazing speeches but also one that had a slightly unhinged joke I won’t be forgetting anytime soon - also not a instagram appropriate joke I can share either sorry!

They did a first look and photos before the ceremony so after that they could just stay with everyone — no disappearing for hours, just actually being around their guests.
Woodside Estate worked perfectly for it. everything in one place so no one was being moved far around or waiting on the next thing - it just felt like a relaxed afternoon having a few drinks and snacks with their favourite people ☺️

A date and venue change also meant that Elle and I had been emailing for around 2 years by the time their wedding rolled around so it was so nice to see them finally have their moment with all of their people ☺️

In the lead up to their wedding (literally weeks before) Matt and Robyn decided they wanted to do an engagement shoot so we squeezed it in and decided to just do some beach photos at their local.

We nailed our choice with the day because the sunset on that day was insane!
Their wedding day also ended in an epic storm so it was a double win because they got sunset photos and then a different look for the wedding

Make sure to swipe to the end for Noah, their dog, basically being a dog model 🤣

So the big Instagram-worthy wedding moments might be everyone’s favourite, but honestly, the things I love most are the real, unscripted, pure chaos moments at weddings.

All the little bits in between — the messy, beautiful chaos that’s really just your people being together and having a good time. That’s what I’m always searching for at weddings. Yes, it does mean I’m often running around like a headless chicken, constantly searching and keeping an eye on what’s happening everywhere… but I bloody love it.

Give me all the chaos, the laughter, the tears, and those tiny in-between moments, and I’m completely in my element

Tom + Casey — From bubble gun chaos at the ceremony to a dance floor full of the groom’s face (thanks to some leftover hen’s party tattoos).

So a million years ago (not quite dinosaur age, but it feels that way), back when I was living in Melbourne and you just added random people you met at parties on social media, Tom and I became Facebook friends. Last year, when he and Casey were searching for a photographer for their Omahanui wedding, my name popped up in a Google search and he thought, “I know that name!” Funny how things work out.

Anyway, I’m pretty stoked about that random connection, because Tom and Casey’s wedding was such a beautiful day to be a part of!
Right from the start, they made it clear that spending time with family and friends was their main priority.
So we chose to do a first look with their bridal party and family before the ceremony, which meant they could spend the afternoon just hanging out with everyone they love—and honestly, it was so perfect! The whole day felt so relaxed and chilled, no rushing and Omahanui was perfect for it! SO many spots all so close together :)
