How crazy are these flowers! Aspidistra flowers emerge straight out of the soil and until recently were thought to be pollinated by slugs and snails 🐌. It turns out they may actually be pollinated by fungus gnats.
Aspidistra leaves are great to use in arrangements and they're also an easy care plant to grow indoors or out (that's how they earned their common name - "cast iron plant"!).
