Flower stories in New Zealand are different for me.
I am not born in New Zealand, I came here from Lithuania and Nz is my home now. And it has been many years now.
And I love it!
Here we don’t have flowers flown in from Holland – everything is grown here, locally which is amazing!
Just sometimes -
our bouquets can seem simple compare to Europe&Australia.
So I have to stretch my creativity to make something truly beautiful. And I love that!
But that’s not what makes it really different.
It’s how flowers are given.
We deliver more flowers when someone passes away here than for birthdays, anniversaries, or even love.
It might sound like a sad flower story –
But it’s not.
To me, it’s a rare gift.
To be present not only in joy, but also in grief.
To honour a life.
And often – I knew the person.
So when I arrange those flowers, nothing else matters - time or cost….
Stem by stem, I think about them.
About life. About their children. Their loved ones.
About my family…
Because that’s what matters.
Thank you for letting us to be a part of your stories – in every season of life ❤️
