Committee and some of the many many helpers mucked in for a last time today to clean up the grounds, pack up equipment and have a well earned cold drink and a debrief after a spectacular 2026 Ellesmere A&P Show

The agricultural show season kicks off this Saturday 17 October with the 155th Ellesmere A&P Show in Leeston 🚜

Alastair Barnett farms the land his grandfather bought in 1933, alongside his brother Robin. He has spent nearly 20 years helping run the show, and this is his year as president.

"You only get one year, so you've got to try and give it your best shot."

This year’s theme, Full Steam Ahead, follows farm machinery from the steam age to today. Expect wood chopping, shearing, fencing, a barbecue contest and live entertainment.
