⭐️Hello Everyone⭐️
We hope you’re enjoying the sunshine and the slightly warmer weather. There’s lots happening at the Community Centre, and we’re pleased to share some of our upcoming activities and opportunities with you.
Peggy Squares🧶
Our Peggy Square project is continuing, and we’d love you to keep knitting if you have the time.
We’re collecting squares to make into blankets for Mary Potter Hospice and other charities. Both wool and acrylic yarn are welcome. If you enjoy crochet or sewing, we would also greatly appreciate help with joining the squares together to create the blankets. Thank you to everyone who has already contributed — every square helps make a difference.
🧩Jigsaw Puzzle Donations🧩
We are continuing to be a collection point for a fundraiser supporting Tony’s Place, which provides support following su***de. If you have any new or pre-loved jigsaw puzzles that you no longer need, we would be very grateful for your donations. Tony’s Place collects the puzzles and sells them online to raise funds for their work.
Spring Get-Together🌱🌼🌷
We’re looking forward to getting together for a movie and lunch in September. We’ll share more details soon, so watch this space!
Got a Soft Spot for Khandallah and Your Community?
We are looking for new members to join our Board of Trustees.
The Cornerstone Community Centre Trust is the team behind the scenes, running our busy Community Centre and managing the historic Khandallah Town Hall. As some of our long-serving Trustees prepare to retire, we’re looking for fresh faces to join us and help ensure these important community spaces continue to thrive.
If you have a connection to Khandallah, care about your local community and would like to contribute your skills and ideas, we’d love to hear from you.
Thank You for Being Part of Our Community.💕💕💕
We’re grateful for the continued support and involvement of everyone who uses and supports the Centre.
Whether you’re taking part in an activity, donating a puzzle, knitting a Peggy Square, volunteering your time or simply stopping by for a chat, you help make our community a welcoming and vibrant place to be.
We look forward to seeing you at the Centre soon!
