What started in 2020 as a small catering business grew into something I’m incredibly proud of.

Over the past six years we’ve catered weddings, corporate events, community functions, private celebrations, school lunch programmes, and everything in between throughout Northland.

Along the way we’ve built systems, processes, supplier relationships, equipment, recipes and a reputation for delivering quality food and service.

This isn’t a closing-down post. It’s an opportunity for the right person to take over an established catering business and continue building on what has already been created.

2026 — A New Year, A Fresh Direction 🫶🏻

With growth comes change, and wow… we’ve grown.
From a small catering business to a team of 10+ staff, a much larger kitchen, making 600 school lunches, serving hundreds through our shop, and catering events all over — it’s been an incredible journey.

In 2025, we explored opening a café-style wing alongside our catering. While we gave it a go, it never quite felt like us. After some time, reflection, and a lot of whakaaro over summer, I realised it was time to fully align our business with what we truly love and do best.

So here’s the shift ✨
Our shop is now a showroom for our catering — showcasing the kai we create for events and making it available in-store. Same fresh, top-quality kai, drinks, and service — just in a way that truly reflects Catering Box.

What this means for you:
Smaller portions, more affordable pricing ☺️
Still the same quality, care, and flavour you know us for.
