Kia ora followers a busy week ahead for me with two funerals. Both of them I have a connection to in a small way. One an ex local Kaponga resident the other my Florist from many years ago.

It's a cliche to say Celebrant work is a honour and a privilege. I cannot express that enough.

Meeting with families and listening to the wonderful stories they tell of their loved ones in preparation to the afterlife is just beautiful.

Yes its a cliche but it truly, truly, truly is a privilege being in this mahi.

Pai tō wiki. Have a great week. W ❤️

Iv just returned from a National Executive meeting of the Celebrant Association in Tāmaki Makaurau where I connected face to face for the first time with Ayyam (Rolleston), Debbie (Cromwell), Christine ( Pukekohe), and of course Dr Iwi (Te Arawa), Anna (President) Christchurch, Libby (Vice) Te Whanganui-A-Tara and our super administrator Hazel (Auckland).

My stint on the NE was short but sweet. Im truly looking forward to focusing on our local Taranaki Branch as the Lead.

Thank you everyone who has supported my journey this far. With Aroha Wendy ❤️

Mōrena followers, first day of Spring yesterday and bang wedding season is about ready to start.

Iv had to reregister with BDM as a celebrant and currently have three weddings booked for the season so far. I just pray I get my registration. You really do have to jump through hoops to get it.

Iv been quiet this year, very quiet, but I never went into Celebrant mahi to make it my core business. I do have a portfolio of careers, Celebrant work is only one of my roles, but it is one that gives me great pleasure.

I am and always will be community focused and most importantly about the people.

If you have or know of anyone who has a special event coming up, whatever size or occasion, please dont skim past my social media, just because of my grey hair. I promise Im way nicer than my grumpy look at times 😀.

He aha te mea nui o te ao? He tāngata, he tāngata, he tāngata.

What is the most important thing in the world? It is people, it is people, it is people.

Pai tō rangi - have a great day. Aroha atu ki a koutou Wendy ❤️

Blessed to have been the celebrant for Kaela, Felix and Armone Mum today and what a glorious day it was out at Ōpunakē, a perfect day for a funeral.

The sun was shining, there was a slight crisp in the air with oodles of love present at their whānau homestead on Hickey Place.

Thank you for choosing me to help you all with your Mums journey into the arms of her tupuna and your sister Topaz. Moe mai rā e Ching.

Ps no pics but here is the opening I used for her service.

Kia ora followers I know its been some time since my last post, apologies for my silence.

Life as a celebrant has been very quiet for me however, my voluntary roles have not been and I continue to work in the background growing my experience and knowledge in celebrancy.

At the weekend I attended a Celebrant Pen-making workshop with Celebrant Mike Walker and his wife Helen in Fielding.

I am not naturally blessed with being artistic but what a fabulous way to bring out what little creativity I possess.

Not only did I make a pen I also made a taonga and was compelled to put a cross on it.

The day was made special by finally meeting other Whanganui-Manawatū Celebrants.

Thank you everyone for a truly special day. I loved it.

Kia ora followers, Iv been a little quiet lately because I've been travelling.

What an amazing trip away in Vietnam/Cambodia and Im now back tucked on the maunga.

The weather here in Kaponga is gloriously mild a radiant sun, with enough nip in the air to justify wearing a beanie.

I hope you have been well and living life peacefully. I pray you have been.

As always please feel free to share my celebrant services with those in need.

Kia ora followers well what a wicked weekend and my aroha goes to the people affected by the flooding in all areas of Aotearoa.

We have been blessed in South T to be sheltered by Koro - Maunga Taranaki and now there is a break in the weather and Im due to walk Bruce.

Iv now got my website up and running. Its basic, Im pleased as I created it, so it may not be perfect, but its a start. Please take a peek and share to those who may be interested.

Mōrena followers, I found this very pertinent not only as a Celebrant but as an individual thinking of my own digital presence and how it would be managed post my own death or those of loved ones.

Some practical steps that the FDANZ suggest. Take a look.
