🎅 Santa will be parading in Kaiapoi earlier than usual this year. Because of commitments in the City south of the Waimakariri, the Kaiapoi Christmas Carnival has moved to and will be held on Saturday, 28th November 2026..
The ever-popular Kaiapoi Christmas Carnival and Santa Parade draws big crowds with its featured Free Family Fun Zone and collection of Artisan Craft Stalls and Food Trucks.
This year, an extensive new line-up of entertainers and buskers is planned.
Festivities will get underway on the 28th at Kaiapoi Park from 9:30a.m. and run through to 3:30p.m., with Santa's big parade timed for 1.30p.m.

The Kaiapoi Club hosted the 2026 Kaiapoi Matariki event and it was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the celebration. Natalie Leary, Brian Smart and Mayor Dan Gordon opened the event which was followed by fantastic performances by the local schools. Thanks to all who helped to put the event together.

The Kaiapoi Club downstairs is hosting some fabulous entertainment from our rangitahi while upstairs there are craft stalls and the western carpark has food trucks serving up delicious food.
