I've just posted another video of original Orchestral music on YouTube. Inspired by an original melody I used to hum to myself as long ago as the early 1980s, but it's only now that I've managed to turn it into a proper composition. The metronome in the corner, I animated in Cyberlink PowerDirector. I animated it to fit the music - the music was not governed by the metronome. https://youtu.be/aphJgyCc7Us is the link if anyone would like to watch/listen. Thanks in advance, and enjoy!

Hi everybody!

I just posted a new video of original music on YouTube. This one's more of a Techno piece. The visuals are of the instruments that I used in recording the music, along with a few clips from road trips in the South Island. https://youtu.be/B4GLmKK4HEU is the link, if anyone would like to watch/listen. Thanks in advance, and enjoy!

No AI was used in the creation of this video, either for the music or the visuals.A "Techno"-style piece, performed using my hardware instruments. Instrument...

Hi folks

I've just posted another original music video to YouTube. It's one I've been meaning to do for a while. It's about the Illuminate Light Show that took place in Queens Park here in Invercargill last June. The footage and pictures was all taken on cellphones under low light by my son and myself, so it could be better, but there were some nice moments amongst it.

Queens Park was transformed into a magical fantasy fairyland for the occasion, and it's quite nostalgic considering the damage that was done to the park in the huge windstorm that we had last October. For the music, I wrote an ethereal electronic-based piece, using both hardware and software instruments. https://youtu.be/MAAFjLETT6w is the link, if anyone would like to listen. Enjoy!

I posted a video on the recent Santa Parade on Facebook. It can be viewed at https://www.facebook.com/reel/1559846075439988. It did "Rain On Our Parade" a bit, but not too bad. I filmed it from the roundabout at Trooper's Memorial. Enjoy!

I've gone and posted another video of original orchestral music on YouTube.

This one is a gentle piece: Berceuse means Lullaby in French. I started composing this with a very different video in mind. I quickly realised that this piece would not be suitable for that video. But it was still very nice in its own right, so I carried on composing it. Now I'll have to write something else for the other video, though!

I kept the visuals in this one very simple, as befitting the music. They basically outline which instruments are playing.

A gentle piece of orchestral music, played using BBCSO Core with some help from Berlin Free Orchestra. The word Berceus...

I've finally completed the symphonic waltz that I've worked on, on and off, since last year. Recording it gave me a lot of problems. But I've solved them (I think); and so I've been hard at work putting some visuals to it.

The visuals are an approximate rendition of the orchestration used. I obviously couldn't include every detail.

Sorry there haven't been any new posts recently. The United Filipino Dance group has gone on hiatus, because of bereavement and illness, so they haven't been active for the last few months. And there hasn't been much else for me to video since then. We did a trip up to Omarama last month to see the Clay Cliffs, and I took video footage and stills of that, but I just cannot come up with any good musical ideas for a theme tune for that; so that'll have to wait until I get some good musical inspiration. But rest assured, the channel has not died; and I will be posting when I have something worth posting to post. Cheers!
