IURNC wish to acknowledge the passing of Inglewood netball stalwart Mary Gyde.

Mary was a strong advocate for netball in our community, contributing countless hours to netball in Inglewood and the wider Taranaki region. She acted as a player, coach, umpire, and bench official throughout her lifetime and was deservedly awarded with a life membership at Netball Taranaki.

Mary, along with her husband Barry (an IURNC life member), raised their family around our clubrooms and have instilled a strong sense of community in not only their 5 children, but also their 13 grandchildren. Family to Mary wasn’t just blood, she welcomed anyone into her family and was the centre of many a community. The epitome of our club values of family, community, respect, and belonging.

Rest in peace Mary ❤️

Mary’s life will be celebrated on Wednesday 20th May at Sacred Heart Parish in Inglewood at 2:30pm. Everyone is invited back to our clubrooms (TET Stadium) following this for refreshments, and the sharing of memories. Please dress in bright colours in honour of Mary’s colourful personality

A huge thank you to Inglewood Lions - NZ for becoming a Gold Supporter of the TET Stadium Changing Rooms Project.

The Inglewood Lions Club has a long history of supporting local projects and community initiatives, and we’re incredibly grateful to have them backing this important development for our region.

Their support will help us deliver modern changing facilities that better support players, referees, schools, clubs and the growing number of people using Carnival Park and TET Stadium each year.

This project is about building facilities our whole community can be proud of - and support from organisations like the Inglewood Lions Club helps make that possible.
