Big thanks to John and Brigit Forrest from Forrest wines who came and gave a presentation and tasting on their beautiful wines.
It really makes it an art form when you hear the work that goes into producing something that they are proud of!

And the green room works so well for such an event!

Thank to Westland Milk social club who came along tonight for a little paint and sip!

Some great art was created. I particularly liked Nick Meldrums piece, very accurate depiction of a mans best friend. 😂

We went for a name change. We peaked too soon.

The cafe absolutely needed to go back to "Stapletons" for nostalgia and history.

So "The Green Room" is what we have decided upon.

Thanks to Jason Johnston who has facilitated our new sign.

We are so lucky to have you as a Hoki local now!

The lovely Frances Stapleton came a visiting last week. Then passed on the details of our new space to Diane Lay (Stapleton), I had a lovely conversation with her about her aunts and her time working in the milk bar. Funny enough the 3 sisters were not drinkers but Diane was chuffed that this space naturally was named after them.
History is everything when you have a building like this!

So rather than whisky in the speakeasy perhaps we could also have high tea's!
