Wow, what about NYE? All the hap's and no New Years Eve post, well finally here it is... I was down the Main end this year and the boys did Beachav'n. Great time, no rain... well not much rain, and part'n our way into 2026. Play'n with the Pioneer Decks such an upgrade on the old plastic fantastics. Love my movi'n heads! Thanks Tasman Holiday Parks once again! Best Hospitality. Can I get another 'n in' ah there we go...

Waihi Beach Fun Run and walk for 2026. Thanks to all those who took part yet again, and of course the new comers. This is an event my Dad started up 30 plus years ago and it is still as popular today. All entry fees go to the Waihi Beach Lifeguard service with Robinsons Entertainment sponsoring the major spot prize, a 43 inch TV again this year. Congratulations to SUE AITKEN who had that lucky number! Times for First in BEN 32.25 First Lady CASSIE 39.16 and first youngster LIAM 41.09 See you all again next year!

MAJOR FUND RAISER 2026 Waihi Beach Lifesaving Club Rugby Heads. This year no difference, a fantastic event supported by a local community of positive minded people working to raise money for the Waihi Beach Hub. The Hub is the NEW rescue support building at Bowentown. A project to support Lifesaving all the way along Waihi Beach. Thank you to all that donated, fundraised and brought products on the night, you are legends. Almost as legendry as Grant Fox and John Kerwin who kick started the event all those years ago. Thanks to Fletcher Morgan, Liam Barry and James Doleman for sharing their stories and Richard Becht for MC ing the night. See you next year!

Another BIG start to the year. Waihi Beach Lifesaving Beach Day Sports. 115 Years the oldest Sports Day Event in New Zealand. Families come from all over New Zealand for this and some would say all over the WORLD just to have their kids race on our Beach. Who wouldn't want to have a coconut on their mantle. AND be the holder of the open beach sprint Trophy started back in 1913. Great Event Sponsored by the Waihi Beach Lifesaving Club run and organised by Murry and his group of volunteers, including Race Co-ordinator Danny (big bro) Big Thanks! Robinsons Entertainment supplying the sound system and microphones to make sure everyone can hear and know when and where to be.

☀️ A week of iconic summer events is kicking off in the first week of January - race, swim, walk, build, laugh and blast into the New Year with us.

These events are run by volunteers and help fund surf lifeguarding plus search and rescue services here at Waihī Beach and Bowentown.

Fantastic time at the old haunt. So great to see the volunteers and the families enjoying such a special day. Thanks Genesis Huntly Power Station. Thanks to Mine Craft Steve, the magnificent Stich who danced the day away, and DJ Mitch supplying the music and the engergy while cutting the tracks with the new CDJs. What a Magnificent show. Ngahinapouri School Pirate Production. We were there with sound, lighting and the odd prop or two to help make the show come alive. Thanks for having us, we enjoyed the acting, the humor, the hospitality and the fantastic way it was all managed AND came together... GREAT JOB!

It was a beautiful evening filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories. We loved bringing the music with our DJ and lighting setup – and seeing everyone up dancing made it even better!
