I’m a friendly, relaxed and fun celebrant who celebrates ALL love and adores building a connection with people to create for them a wedding that’s true to who they are.

These images may be in black and white, but this day was full of colour and laughter.

It was full of smiles and those little looks that say more than words ever could.

And the thing I loved most? It was simple.

Not because anything was missing, because everything that truly mattered was already there. There was no need for extra rituals, added traditions, no bells and whistles.

Just two people, standing in front of their favourite humans, making promises that were their own. Beautiful vows, a whole lot of love. And a ceremony filled with authenticity and connection.

Some people love to add in more, because that feels right.

But sometimes, the magic isn't in adding more. It's in creating space for what matters most.

Seeing some new faces around here lately, so, if you are newly engaged and deep in planning mode... welcome!

I'm Mel

I create weddings with substance.

Not because I think weddings need to be serious, far from it.

I love laughter.
I love personality and I love hearing stories that make guests say, "Yep, that's exactly them!"

But I also believe your ceremony deserves more than being treated like the thing standing between your guests and a champagne. Because when all your favourite people are gathered in one place, celebrating your love story, that's so special.

So, if you're planning a wedding that feels relaxed, meaningful and completely you, one where the ceremony is part of the celebration, not just the start of it...

When couples book me as their Celebrant and MC, it's not just about having one less vendor to organise, or relying on a family member to hold the night together as MC.

It's about creating a day that feels connected from start to finish.

I've already spent months getting to know you, hearing your story, helping with your vows, and cheering you on.

So when it's time to welcome you into your reception, I'm not introducing strangers. I'm introducing two people I genuinely care about and a love story I've had the privilege of sharing.

These two could be described as literal sunshine, every time we hung out there was laughter, jokes and such an awesome vibe.

And that carried in to their wedding day. Their wedding was full of detail and colour, family, friends and good times.

The ceremony kicked off with a wheelbarrow full of beers being rolled in by the groomsmen, and handed out to the guests. Then a softer and full of emotion moment as we played a surprise voice note from their son, bringing tears to everyone, especially the groom. A beautiful entrance by the gorgeous bride, personalised vows shared, rings exchanged and a special vow for the children, along with a little gift for them too.

It was an amazing day, with the sun shining as Loren and W***y became husband and wife.

A candle lit in remembrance, paperwork ready to be signed, and your personalised vows printed off and ready to be spoken.

And you standing there, mid ceremony, listening to your love story and feeling calm and present, because I've poured my heart and soul into making sure every little detail is prepared for and thoughtfully put together.

So, that you can enjoy every moment of your relaxed and fun wedding day.

The journey to this couples wedding day started when I met Melissa over coffee, and instantly I knew this wedding was going to be super special. Such a genuine and beautiful soul, and then later when I met both Melissa and Michael over a beer at Emersons to plan their ceremony, I knew for certain it was going to be magical.

A connection that deserved to be fully celebrated.

And they were, surrounded by amazing family and friends, they shared gorgeous vows they had written to one another and became husband and wife.
